In my pocket, I keep words from the sun with light to shine through the cracks of your heart. I keep wildflowers and daisies, lovely and bright for you to place on your hair. I keep mints and lollipops and chocolates and caramels to sweeten your day. I keep bad jokes and funny stories from years past to bring out your smile. I keep doodles to color your day. In my pocket I keep pennies for you to wish on a well so that you never forget your dreams.
I’m Gaby. I have a heart for Jesus, art, poetry, children, and kindness and encouragement. I believe that God has called me to be light and to share His love with everyone I meet. This tiny space on the internet is a way for me to share my heart. I want to share with you encouraging & inspiring words. I hope Jesus shines through them. I hope they help your broken heart. I hope they sweeten your day. I hope they make you smile. I hope they encourage you to live out your dreams.
I am 19 years old, and I am studying early childhood education. I live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and I love to read and write poetry. I wrote a book. I love to listen to music, especially Johnnyswim and Mumford & Sons. I like to believe wonder and grace and bravery are tangled in my hair. I would love to spend every day in a coffee shop, writing and reading and having some coffee and a slice of cheesecake by my side. I want to change the world with the love and words God has given me. I want to be brave with every bit of who I am.
But mostly, I want to be your best friend. I want to be your very own personal cheerleader. I want my words to become a part of you. I want them to remind you of your worth and value. I want them to make you feel loved. I want them to encourage you and make you believe that yes, that you can do what you’ve been called to do. I want them to make you brave.
And with every bit of who I am, I hope they do.
